That vision rushed through my subconscious while doing some college library tourism (long story) at the University of Kansas this weekend. You know, a typical Saturday for me.

Luckily, the real-time reliving of a non-existent stress made sports watching a bit easier this weekend, though the coffee habit did help for a certain football game.

I know what you're all thinking. "That Ryan guy is really slacking. Where's the community organizing for 2019?" That's true, it's been a few weeks without taking to the air for an NPSP Day, but my friends, we're just warming up the 2019 engines for one of the biggest years yet.

My fellow penguin teammates kicked things off last week by hosting the first Washington DC Salesforce Nonprofit User Group meeting in Soapbox Engage's new home, and we're ready to bring the community organizing spirit.

Better yet, for those of you outside the Beltway (and North America), I'm excited to announce the first three NPSP Days of 2019, including a world record fourth edition in Portland right before the Nonprofit Technology Conference. So, grab your calendars, get those synapses firing, and get ready for a fantastic year of sharing. And now, on to your weekly dose of Salesforce goodness.

It seems that the snow is following me these days. For my first trip of the new year, I headed to the Mountain West, and right upon landing in Denver, boom, snowstorm. Luckily, I made it unscathed to the home of the Chipotle burritos, wearing a jacket that makes me feel like an Arctic explorer.

In case some snow falls out of your inbox when you read this, you can blame politics and the weather. It seems that the weather decided to raise the ante on the US government shutdown today, blanketing the city with snow and by doing so, forcing the government to completely close in the capital city today.

May our friends further north not laugh too hard at our few inches of snow on the ground.

I held off downhill skiing 20th St NW during this storm (it may have happened in the past), and instead braved it into the office to report on all the goodness our community has shared this week. Happy 2019 PUB Crawl friends! If you're reading this, you're probably asking yourself, "wait, why wasn't the world premiere of the Goat Farm Foundation's new thrilling series, NPSP Cribs, not nominated for every Golden Globe award possible?" I know, that's how I felt too. Especially after going out the day after New Year's to buy a whole rack of this obviously perfect penguin dress shirt to wear on the red carpet.

Unfortunately, I've been told that the Golden Globes are only given out to shows that have already premiered, and since the Goat Farm Foundation's NPSP Cribs debuts on January 17 at 3pm ET, there was some silly rule that got in the way. Well, no matter, this show is can't miss TV!

So, while the studio set gets prepped, enjoy the green room beverages and snacks, and take a look at all the knowledge from the PUB!
