Each morning, we hear the lilt in the voice of our local NPR station sharing the benefits of Constant Contact. They’ve got a great product and a great marketing presence these days. How much does using that service cost, though, and how does it compare to Soapbox Mailer for Salesforce?

For our recipes, we’ll standardize our batches to make the measurements consistent. Let’s assume you’ve got an email list of 10,000 recipients and you email them five times a month. Our scenario is quite favorable to Constant Contact's pricing structure. What can we say? We want to give them a fighting chance! Our 10,000 addresses falls at the top end of one of their pricing tiers - 5,000 - 10,000 email addresses - and our five emails a month is pretty healthy traffic at more than one a week. That puts their per address rather than per email pricing approach in a great light. Plus we're assuming your non-profit was down with the 12-month prepaid option to grab their 30% discount.
