PUB Crawl for December 10, 2018

With the 2018 NPSP Day tour now in the rearview mirror, I've begun to collect the lessons learned and gather great community stories from 2018. Plus, we've got the Soapbox Engage holiday party in DC next week (if you're in town, come join us!), and celebrations to kick off 2019 right around the corner. There's lots to cover before 2018 wraps up!

Which is why I figured, heck, might as well get one more trip in before the year ends. As has been a ridiculous tradition among some friends, I started the year-end with a marathon. Luckily, writing this PUB Crawl requires no leg workout, and I'm hoping a kind "good afternoon!" to the plane's pilot tomorrow will increase the chances of a drop off right in front of my office tomorrow.

Salesforce Power of Us Hub PUB Crawl for December 10, 2018

This week has been another exciting week in the Power of Us Hub, and with one of the community's final gatherings for the year at the Salesforce World Tour in NY this week, it looks like the community is coming in strong for the final knowledge sharing in 2018. So, grab a seat, and enjoy this week's round of knowledge!

Don't forget, you can have the goodness of the PUB Crawl delivered into your inbox each Monday morning by subscribing today!

  2. Registration for the first 2019 Open Source Community Sprints
    Cori O'Brien (Salesforce.org)

Lace up your contribution performance shoes, it's time to register for the community's next sprint!

  3. "Multi-year" donation paid in a single year. How to flag this for reporting?
    Sheridan Larsell (Upstream USA)

Any chance folks have an easy way to mark an Opportunity as multi-year while also showing that the payment has come in full and been booked in a single year's revenue?

  4. What's the best practice to record both street address and post office box?
Thomas Huckstep (Institute for Affordable Transportation)

When you're presented with needing to record two mailing addresses within the NPSP, what's a Salesforce admin to do?

  5. November updates across the Soapbox Engage platform
    Tim Forbes (Soapbox Engage)

When your team has knocked out a month of awesome releases to help fundraisers be more successful with Salesforce, you can't help but use the home field advantage here to highlight it!

  6. Roll up Recurring Donation information to Contact or Account
    Chris Picking (Christian Broadcasting Network)

There's some pretty epic ability to aggregate data using Customizable Roll-ups, but what if you want to go beyond rolling up Opportunities, etc?

  1. Contact Merge and Manage HH Permission Sets
