Program Officer Jenny Harms, shared her insight on how their site contributes to their mission of discovering and expanding business practices that create tangible, enduring economic opportunities for low-wealth Americans, their families, and the communities in which they reside:

"Our newly re-designed has allowed The Hitachi Foundation to better articulate its mission and programs to the public. The ability to showcase our work via pictures, videos, and publications has helped adds depth and life to our story. In addition, the newly revamped HCAP HQ - the Hitachi employee intranet - has become a rich resource for employees from across North America to learn from and interact with each other around the community grantmaking and volunteering."

GFW won the Gold Award for Special Reports in the Community and Public Foundations, assets $5-20 million category.  See their Impact Reports for inspiration on how to present your own reports to your audience.

Laura Shapiro, the Online Communications Manager at GFW, explains how their website serves as a powerful Soapbox for their message:

“Our website helps us reach diverse audiences, including the general public, donors, and grantee partners all over the world. It supports our efforts to build connections between and among our constituents and helps to raise and amplify women's voices for social change.  Globalfundforwomen.org also raises money for the women's movement, educates the public about women's human rights, and provides grantee resources in five languages.”

Congratulations again to our winners!
