No Lazy Days of Summer for PICnet

Summertime is usually a time to relax – go the beach, put a good burger on the grill, watch fireworks while sipping your beverage of choice from a rooftop. Well, that might be how most people spend their summers in DC, but not for PICnet. We’ve been blasting through the summer with several new site launches! Here are ones that launched in just the first half of August:

SkillUp Washington

SkillUp Washington is a workforce funders collaborative which supports employers and working families in the Seattle-King County area by: 1) working with employers to align workforce training with industry needs; 2) investing in targeted and innovative programs that help low-income adults receive postsecondary credentials; and 3) supporting programs that help workers get trained and advance in their fields.

The site is a brand new, built on our Non-Profit Soapbox 2 platform, which incorporates some great new features including a fresh design by our very own rockstar designer, Ryan Belisle.

Community Action Partnership

Known for its commitment to fighting poverty and invoking the spirit of hope in communities across America, Community Action Partnership came to us when they needed an additional micro-site.

For this site, we created a Searchable Directory which fully integrated Salesforce.com (the leading CRM solution for non-profits, graciously donated by the Salesforce Foundation) so visiting members could search for job opportunities.  The best part is this directory pulls data in real-time from Community Action Partnership’s database in the cloud!

Great Place to Work

Great Place to Work® Institute is a global research, consulting and training firm that helps organizations identify, create and sustain great workplaces through the development of high-trust workplace cultures.

We officially began the rollout of Soapbox 2 sites across the Great Place to Work international network with the launch of the first affiliate site - Great Place to Work United States and accompanying event microsite for their 2012 conference.  We will continue to rollout Soapbox 2 sites to all GPTW affiliates around the world, bringing each greater flexibility and control over their website content.

Many thanks to our talented design partners at Free Range Studios for their stunning design work and to the entire GPTW team for truly being a great place to work with!

American Federation of Teachers (AFT) - Detroit affiliate

This is the eighth AFT affiliate site related to the American Federation of Teachers. With a strong focus on getting supplies for students, certified teachers in classrooms, and schools ready when school starts, AFT Detroit is well on its way to accomplishing its goal of “making a stronger Detroit for our kids” with a slick and stylish new site.

Take a moment to explore these fantastic organizations and learn how you can support their missions.   We’re so honored to be able to contribute to their work in our own small way by providing these orgs with the tools they need to make their websites shine!
