PUB Crawl - June 5, 2023

PUB Crawl Newsletter

Happy Monday, Trailblazers!

Way back in October 2015, we shipped the first edition of the PUB Crawl to maybe 20 inboxes (if we’re generous in counting). We figured every minute you didn’t need to try keeping up with all the changes and ideas in the Salesforce world was another minute focusing on your organization (or eating a burrito…or sipping coffee).

That seems to have resonated! Thousands of curated contributions later, this little newsletter is read around the world, and our motto is the same: share the knowledge.

As we gear up for another wave of change in the Salesforce nonprofit community, we’re dedicated to making sure you’ve got an extra set of eyes reading the entire Power of Us Hub (fine…Trailblazer community…old habits die hard).

400 Mondays in a row…the knowledge is always delivered. Welcome to your latest edition of the PUB Crawl!

Don't forget, you can have the goodness of the PUB Crawl delivered into your inbox each Monday morning by subscribing today!

Great Ideas for Nonprofits Using Salesforce

  1. Allow Pledges to Be Paid Through Different Donor Accounts
    Emily Crouch-Ponder (CLF)

Nonprofits regularly see constituents commit funds as an individual and then send the funds via a DAF or foundation. Here's an idea to add a way to connect the pledge opportunity with the payment made by the foundation/DAF. (Soft credits won't work in these cases when an opportunity has already been made to record the initial pledge.)
