Soapbox Engage Email Deliverability Improvements

Soapbox Engage Email Deliverability Improvements

With Soapbox Engage, organizations can send event reminders, registration confirmations, donation receipts, and more, straight to people’s inboxes! Ensuring that these emails get directly into a recipient's inbox and not scooped up by spam filters is critical to constituent engagement. This update, and ones to follow, will enhance email deliverability in the Soapbox Engage apps. The following changes will be applied on an app-by-app basis starting with the Events app and portals add-on, then continuing through our other apps with successive releases.

First, this update allows administrators to set their own Envelope From Email. The envelope from email address is used by email servers to identify where the email originated but is not visible in the recipient's email client. By default, this is set to noreply@picnet.net. If you wish to update this, it is important that you review our Outbound Email Settings in Soapbox and Best Practices to Ensure Deliverability support article first. Second, this update allows administrators to set a global Default Reply-To Name and Default Reply-To Email which are the reply-to name that appears in the recipient's email client and the email address to which a return email is sent.

Specifically in the Events app, administrators can also customize the Reply-To Name and Reply-To Email address on an event-by-event basis. With more options comes more control and optimization! To learn more, register for our upcoming webinar, Best Practices for Email Deliverability in Soapbox Engage, taking place Thursday, September 16th at 3pm ET.

Adding Multiple Reservations to the Events app Enhanced Shopping Cart

Adding Multiple Reservations to the Events app Enhanced Shopping Cart

In the Soapbox Engage Events app, one person can make multiple reservations for an event. This comes in handy when someone is signing up multiple co-workers, kids, or volunteers. Thanks to this update, when someone adds multiple registrations for a single event to the Events enhanced shopping cart and that event has event-level fields, Soapbox Engage treats them as separate events in the cart and when creating Opportunities and Tickets in Salesforce. This keeps registrant information separate and tidy!

Record Donation Dedications in Microsoft Fundraising and Engagement

Record Donation Dedications in Microsoft Fundraising and Engagement

The Soapbox Engage Donations app offers a powerful, one-of-a-kind integration with Microsoft Fundraising and Engagement (F&E). The Donations app sends data to F&E in real-time so donor and transaction information is instantly available! Thanks to this update, dedication information - including the name of the tribute and whether the dedication is “In Honor” or “In Memory” of that individual - is saved in F&E. More data saved in one place makes life a little easier!

Update Event Capacity Based on Reservations in Visitor’s Shopping Carts

Update Event Capacity Based on Reservations in Visitor’s Shopping Carts

With the Soapbox Engage Events app shopping cart, visitors can browse available events, add multiple reservations to their cart, then walk through a smooth and easy checkout process! But once a reservation is added to someone’s cart, does it get accounted for in the event capacity? It does now! Thanks to this Events app update, Soapbox Engage includes reservations added to shopping carts when determining the capacity of an event. This keeps organizations from overbooking!

Create Repeating Forms in the Forms App and Enable a Shopping Cart in the Directories App

Create Repeating Forms in the Forms App and Enable a Shopping Cart in the Directories App

With the Soapbox Engage Forms app, organizations can easily create and promote forms that help them better understand the needs of their community, encourage newsletter sign-ups, handle volunteer registrations, and more. Thanks to this update, administrators can create repeating forms. A repeating form gives people the option to submit multiple forms on a single page. Say a parent is signing up themselves and their children for a volunteer session. After the parent has input their own information, they can simply click “add” to see an additional set of fields where they can enter their kids' information. When the form is submitted, multiple records are created in Salesforce. This saves people time and keeps them from having to submit the same form multiple times!

Additionally this update creates new functionality in the Directories app! If an organization is utilizing the Directories and Forms apps together, administrators can enable an add to cart button. Say an organization is using the Directories app to display volunteer opportunities in different cities or states. A person can scroll through the directory and click “add” to the opportunities they're interested in. When they’re ready to checkout, they can fill out the form for each volunteer opportunity on the same page! This creates a time-saving, seamless user experience!
