RAD Advocates uses Soapbox Engage to advocate for more resources, education, and support around RAD
RAD Advocates educates and advocates to equip families, communities, and professionals to effectively support children with reactive attachment disorder (RAD). RAD develops when a child’s brain is impacted by trauma, often abuse and neglect, during the first few years of life. It is common in children living in the foster care system and orphanages internationally. RAD Advocates exists to guide families toward resources and communities that allow them to flourish.
Prior to connecting with Soapbox Engage, RAD Advocates staff knew it was time to move their organization into a database, but they did not know what the data migration and account setup would entail. They chose Salesforce as their CRM and sought the technical expertise of Soapbox Engage to implement their Salesforce instance.
To top it all off, they discovered that the Soapbox Engage Forms app was the Salesforce-integrated online tool they needed to tie all of their data together.

Custom fields for a one-of-a-kind organization
The work of RAD Advocates is critical and specific, making their organization one-of-a-kind. Though this makes them a wonder for their community, it also means they have needs that are not standard or easily accommodated. Throughout every step of their growth as an organization, RAD Advocates has encountered products and processes that “almost” work for their needs. But almost was no longer enough.
The Salesforce custom fields, implemented by the Soapbox Engage professional services team, finally provided a solution that fully fit the needs of RAD Advocates, allowing them to create a database that works with, not against, their data.

Collecting evidence-based data for the community with Soapbox Engage Forms
Because RAD Advocates did not have a database prior to Salesforce, they had no effective way of tracking their data. As their organization has grown, they have encountered a need for evidence-based data regarding their work educating and advocating for families. When working with different entities or applying for grants, they have been asked for statistics on their reach and impact. The Soapbox Engage Forms app allows them to deliver.
The bulk of RAD Advocate’s impact data is now gleaned from their intake form, a form created using the Soapbox Engage Forms app. The form integrates with Salesforce, automatically storing the data, generating news Contacts and Leads, and allowing RAD Advocates staff to easily pull data reports.
The best part? The form can be easily modified and customized at any point to gather new information. And this is true for any of the unlimited forms that can be created with the Soapbox Engage Forms app.

Since their founding, RAD Advocates has spent hundreds of hours, whether from the road on hotel room phones or at community events, empathizing with and advising families impacted by RAD. They have educated graduate students, shared their personal parenting stories with clinicians, and lobbied for legislation to protect families.
