Inside the friendly confines of the Soapbox Engage headquarters, we're thinking of warmer places right now as the NPSP Day calendar fills up. This year, we're adding two new continents to the tour, spreading the spirit of the open source NPSP community down to our friends in the southern hemisphere. Keep your eyes on the NPSP Day website as the calendar is populated, and see if a community event rolls through a city near you!

Good morning friends (as I write this at 10pm ET)! For those of you just waking up from a long night/day's sleep, I just wanted to provide a few quick updates. First, 2017 really did happen. All that stuff. Yep, it happened. Second, I'm here to help you get focused on the road ahead.

Somewhere between your stack of thank you's in your outbox and the resolutions in your inbox, is the faint memory of all the awesomeness that we saw in the Salesforce community in 2017. Allow me to give you a quick synopsis: this community rocked it! Multiple community sprints, 14 NPSP Days, 25+ NPSP software releases, more Power of Us Hub posts than I can count, and a ton more.

Considering all that we've accomplished together in 2017, I have a feeling 2018 is going to be record breaking year for this community. Let's catch up on what you missed during the end-of-year craziness with a roundup from last week's knowledge.

For our readers celebrating the holiday today, Merry Christmas! I’ll keep this one short, mostly because I'm working between multiple helpings of food and desserts. It's been an honor to hop into your inboxes this year, and I'm looking forward to hopefully being the first email you receive in 2018!

Well, the good news is that we all survived the annual holiday party at Soapbox Engage's international headquarters in DC (penguins included). The bad news is that I still have stomach aches from the pounds of homemade cookies I ate (alas, no burritos!).

All that sugar rush has given us quite the Salesforce knowledge push though, with two new certifications under our collective belts and a brand new Trailhead Ranger among us. Of course, every ranger needs a sidekick, so we're lucky to have one of those in the Soapbox Engage family, too!
