Embed Your Soapbox Engage Donations Form into a Microsoft Teams Meeting

Embed Your Soapbox Engage Donations Form into a Microsoft Teams Meeting

The Soapbox Engage Donations app has big news! Administrators are now able to embed Donation forms into Microsoft Teams meetings. This means that organizations can accept one-time and monthly recurring donations LIVE during Teams meetings and events. Constituents are able to seamlessly submit donations while never having to leave Teams. These donations are then immediately recorded in Microsoft Fundraising and Engagement or Salesforce so data stays up to date and organized. Click the link to learn more!

Set Default Values for Fields in the Shop app

Set Default Values for Fields in the Shop app

The Soapbox Engage Shop app is a robust e-commerce platform that provides organizations with seamless CRM and payment processor integrations. Thanks to this update, administrators can set default values for the contact, shipping, and billing information fields on their Shop app checkout page. This includes name, email, phone, organization, state, zip code, country, and more. This can save customers time and make their experience quick and efficient!

Additionally, administrators can now prepopulate fields using user-defined session variables. For example, if an organization sends out a marketing email, they can include a personalized link for each customer that includes their postal code, in a format like https://www.example.org/?postalcode=22201. The postal code can then automatically populate the postal code field on the Shop app when the person reaches the checkout page. This field can also be visible and editable to the visitor, or even hidden for tracking behind-the-scenes data like tracking codes. Click the link to learn more!

Add Custom Fields to Your Shop App’s Shopping Cart Page

Add Custom Fields to Your Shop App’s Shopping Cart Page

The shopping cart feature of the Shop app allows visitors to navigate to various Shop app pages, add products of their choice to a shopping cart that persists throughout their entire session, and then checkout to purchase all of the products in their cart. In the past, on the checkout page, administrators have only been able to choose from pre-existing fields (First Name, Last Name, Email Address, Phone, Organization) to gather contact information.

Thanks to this update, administrators can now add custom fields. For example, a membership organization may want to know the Member ID of a person purchasing an item from their shop. Or, if an organization wants to collect marketing data, they can include a field that asks “How did you hear about us?” Click the link to learn more!

Use a Default Value to Populate Blank Fields or Overwrite Existing Values when Editing Salesforce Records

Use a Default Value to Populate Blank Fields or Overwrite Existing Values when Editing Salesforce Records

The Soapbox Engage Forms app is a multidimensional tool that can be used for conducting surveys, keeping member information up-to-date, receiving applications, and much more. It can be used to both create new records in Salesforce and, in conjunction with our Directories app, edit existing records. Thanks to this update, administrators can populate blank field values or overwrite existing field values with a default value they define when a user edits existing records from Salesforce.

For example, if a membership organization utilizes the Forms app and User Integration add-on (“portal”), an admin can set a hidden date field on the Form to overwrite the preexisting date on the Salesforce record whenever a member updates their information. This way the organization knows who has updated their information recently and who hasn’t. Click the link to learn more!

Restrict Event Attendees to Active Members or other Salesforce Contacts

Restrict Event Attendees to Active Members or other Salesforce Contacts

With the Soapbox Engage Events app, organizations can easily manage an unlimited number of events and registrations with numerous ticketing options. Thanks to this update, administrators can now restrict attendees for a given event to only those who have matching Contacts in Salesforce.

Tailor-made for membership organizations but flexible enough to accommodate countless other scenarios, organizations can restrict each event to only those Contacts to whom they wish to allow access through easily customizable Contact Matching Validation rules. Match one or more attendee information fields to one or more Salesforce Contact fields to get as broad or specific as they wish. Just think of Salesforce as the event bouncer and Soapbox as the rope line. Click the link to learn more!
